Traverse Town was a great place for a child, minus the heartless, of course. But they were only in the Second and Third District. You smiled running around the First District, playing tag with your friends Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Huey, Dewey, and Louie are triplets, but it's easy to tell them apart. Huey is the one wearing red, Dewey is the one wearing blue, and Louie is the one wearing green.
"Tag! You're it, ______!" Dewey exclaimed, tagging your shoulder. After tagging you, Dewey turned around running away before you could tag him back. The triplets laughed, all running away from you now.
"Awww!" You pouted, stopping in your tracks. "I hate being it!" You frowned crossing your arms, "It's fun when you're trying to get away from them, but when you have to do the chasing... It's so boring!"
"Awww! Come on, don't give up!" an happy, encouraging voice came from behind you. At first you thought it was Cid, but it sure didn't sound like him. A bit startled, you turned around to see an older boy. He had a wide smile, spiky brown hair, bright blue eyes, and was defiantly both taller and older than you.
"Huh? Who are you? What do you mean?" You asked tilting your head at the stranger. He seemed like a happy person, at least that's what his wide grin was giving off. He looked trustworthy too.
"Me?" He asked pointing to his chest. "I'm Sora!" He greeted you happily, sticking his hand out for you to shake. You looked at his hand slightly confused before you caught on. He wanted you to shake his hand.
"Err... hi... I'm ______."
"Nice to meet you, ______." Sora smiled wider than he had before. You gave him a small, shy smile in return. He did seem nice, very nice actually.
"Um... Sora?" You asked looking up at the spiky haired boy.
"Yeah?"
"What were you saying... about not giving up?" You asked curiously. Cid had always told you not to give up, but you never listened when it came to losing.
"Oh. Well, you shouldn't give up just because your in a position you're not comfortable with." Sora started. You titled your head a bit not fully understanding what Sora was saying.
"What do I do then?" You asked.
"You should work even harder! If you work hard at something it'll pay off, no matter what! As long as you never give up and give it your all, you can do anything your heart desires!" Sora encouraged.
You thought about what he had said for a second, and you let it sink in. When you opened your mouth to respond, you were interrupted.
"______!" All three of the triplets yelled running up to you. Both you and Sora turned to look at the triplets, they seemed confused.
"Yeah? What is it?" You asked tilting your head.
"Why weren't you chasing us?" Huey asked catching his breath.
"Yeah! We were running around thinking that you were trying to catch us!" Dewey exclaimed waving his arms up and down jumping.
"But when we looked behind us you weren't there. At first we thought one on those monsters had got you!" Louie stated a bit worried.
"You look fine though! Which is good considering Cid would have blamed us if a monster got you." Dewey chipped in. "Oh! But of course your safety was more important to us!" Dewey added letting out a nervous laugh.
"Uh-huh." You hummed sarcastically. Of course you knew they cared about you. They were your best friends for goodness sake! But if you couldn't mess with them every now and then.
"______? Why weren't you chasing us?" All three asked again. You didn't want to tell them it was because you hated being 'it', but you didn't want to lie to them.
You played with your thumbs for a second. "I'm sorry guys... I just don't like being 'it'. I like running away, that part's fun. But I don't like having to chase other's." You explained.
"That's all?" Huey asked. You nodded your head.
"You should have just said so!" Dewey exclaimed laughing.
"Hey! Don't laugh!" You pouted crossing your arms.
"______, you're our friend! If you want, we'll run slower than usual. Then it'll be easier for you to catch us!" Dewey proposed grinning, well it looked like a grin.
You gave all three of them a smile, but shook your head. "Thank you guys... but I can't just give up because I'm in a position I'm not comfortable with. It mean's I have to try harder, and as long as I never give up, I'll get there. I want you guy's to run as fast as you can, and I'll give it all I have to catch you!" You chirped, grinning at Sora.
"You might regret that, ______." Huey warned. All three of them nodded in agreement.
"Because you'll never catch us!" All three of them yelled running away. You smiled widely, turning to Sora.
"Aren't you going to go after them?" Sora asked confused, pointing after the running triplets.
"Yep!" You chirped grinning at him. "I will. But I wanted to thank you, Sora. And... Do you want to play tag with us for a little bit? Please?!" You begged putting on your best puppy dog face.
"Well..." Sora started off unsure. But looking at the little child in front of him with that adorable puppy dog face helped decide for him. "Sure! I guess it couldn't hurt if I played for a little bit." Sora answered grinning.
"Really?!" You gasped smiling. "Yay! Thank you, Sora! You're the greatest friend ever!" You exclaimed tackling the way older boy into a hug.
"Whoa!" Sora grunted trying not to fall with the force of your little hug. "Geez, for a kid, you sure put a lot of force in your hugs." Sora murmured still having his usual wide grin.
Releasing him from your hug, you gave him a mischievous smile. "Hey, Sora! Guess what?!" You asked happily.
"What?" Sora asked slightly confused again.
"You're it!" You yelled tagging his arm. Laughing you ran off in the direction that the triplets had gone, leaving Sora completely dumbstruck. It took a few seconds for Sora to realize what had happened.
"Huh?! Wait a minute! ______! H-hey! COOOOME BAAAAAAAAAACK!"

You pouted, doubting Sora would tell you that.
"Riku told me to come to you, so I did." You stared up into his blue eyes innocently while he silently fumed at Riku, cursing his name.
"Well, Riku guessed wrong...." Sora trailed off, blushing like mad as you swung around, arms crossed.
"Guess I'll have to go ask Axel then...." You sigh, and start toward the door.
